BUILDING AND GROUNDS
We still have a Building and we still have Grounds. I want to thank all that helped to pick-up and clean-up after the Elvis event. It really does help when members pitch in and help. I thank the pool players will notice it is a little warmer in the Pool Room. We had a fan motor go out and it has been replaced, so we could get the heat on. I know the Administrator assistant is especially happy. So until the next time keep up the good work and with your help we will “Get’er Done”

HORSESHOES:
The horseshoe Pitching League held its semi-annual Awards Banquet on January 31st. The League Champions, George Ricardo & Bill Sweet received their Plaques for winning the League. Many other awards were presented to winners in 20 plus categories. To find who received awards, check the bulletin board in the Foyer or go to the Lodge Website.



GOLF NEWS
Unfortunately, the January Tournament was canceled due to the arctic conditions. I hope to see you all this month, Feb. 14th at Huntington. Start time is 9:00am. I hope to see you there. P.S. Don’t forget to have your “Sweets” for your “Sweetie” on this Valentine’s Day.

DARTS
On Saturday, January 9th, 2010, in the 1st Tournament the team of Mike Ricardo & Belinda McClain won when they beat the team of Tom Newsom and Alice Noble. Finishing in 3rd place was the team of Jerry Sneary & Sherry Ricardo. In the 2nd Match, the team of Jerry Sneary & Sherry Ricardo beat the team of Mike Ricardo & Belinda McClain. The team of Chris McClain & Terry Newsom finished in 3rd place.
The Winter ‘09/10 ‘Cricket’ Dart League began Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 with 7 teams (14 players). The League will complete for 12 weeks, ending on March 24th


POOL:
On Saturday, Jan.-09/10, the team of Jerry Sneary & Sherry Ricardo won when they beat the teram of Ken Stewart & Chris McClain. Finishing in 3rd place was the team of Mike Ricardo & Belinda McClain.
The Winter ’10 Monday Night In-House Pool League is now underway with 6 teams of 3-players per team. The League will play for 12 weeks ending on March 22nd.
The Fall’09 Monday Night In-House Pool League held their Pizza/Awards Banquet on January 18th following are those who received awards for their accomplishments;

We are still looking for Pool Players to join our TAP POOL TEAMS which play on Tuesday and Wednesday Nights.

Elvis has left the building. If you didn’t make it out to help celebrate Elvis’s birthday, you really missed a “Great Night of Fun” I am sure we will have him back. I would also like to thank all that helped clean up after the show. We do have a new Band “Homemade Jam” on the 12th and our Dance Classes have started. We really do have a lot of good entertainment at the Lodge so come on out and enjoy. So until the next time, remember these little words of wisdom, “Every path has a few puddles”
